{"id":521,"date":"2016-04-11T18:21:31","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T15:21:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digitalcountry.ua\/?p=521"},"modified":"2018-03-30T09:56:49","modified_gmt":"2018-03-30T06:56:49","slug":"project-pages-of-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitalcountry.ua\/en\/project-pages-of-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"Future pages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From 1st of December 1, 2015 till 29th of February, 2016 &#8220;Digital Country&#8221; Company together with the Foundation of Culture and Innovation FUTURA supported National program of digitization\u00a0of unique manuscripts and editions &#8220;<strong>Future Pages<\/strong>&#8220;, which was aimed towards the cooperation with the cultural institutions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The program purpose<\/strong> was the cooperation with Ukrainian cultural institutions to obtain grants and get funds to digitize the unique editions which have cultural and historical value.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"sp-wrap sp-wrap-undefined\">\n<div class=\"sp-head\" title=\"Expand\">\ndetails\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sp-body folded\">\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We invited to cooperation <strong>300<\/strong> institutions that deal with the preservation of historically and culturally significant documents and materials: libraries, museums, national cultural assets and archives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the period of the program, we have received <strong>110<\/strong> applications from <strong>9<\/strong> Ukrainian museums and libraries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Together with the experts of the Committee of the archives protection and historians, we have established the order of priority of digitization &#8211; depending on the historical and cultural value and the level of damage caused by time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first grant from the Fund FUTURA is received by <a href=\"http:\/\/bdkm.ucoz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Museum of Local History<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Series of the original manuscripts of the XIX century regarding the history of German and Swiss colonies of south of Bessarabia<\/strong> (<strong>18<\/strong> documents total of <strong>900<\/strong> pages) will be transported to Kiev and digitized by our experts till the end of April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another 3 applications were received by grant department of &#8220;Digital Country&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We hope that our experience in obtaining international grants will help in the near future to digitize materials that were filed by the following participants of the project:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oles Honchar Kherson Regional Universal Scientific Library<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Yaroslav Mudryi Scientific Library of the National Law University, Kharkiv<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Oleh Olzhych Zhytomyr regional universal scientific library<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to all of participants!
