Task:<\/b><\/strong>–\u00a0 promoting libraries\/archives\/museums\/academic institutions funds and making \u00a0\u00a0them more widely used;-\u00a0 maintaining periodicals by limiting physical access to them.<\/p>\n

Solution:<\/b><\/strong>–\u00a0\u00a0 creation of an electronic online portal – an electronic archive of periodicals;-\u00a0\u00a0 digitization of newspapers, processing and recognition, creation of electronic \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0resource;-uploading digitized publications to the electronic archive, providing online access.<\/p>\n

Result:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/b>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An electronic archive of Back2News periodicals has been deployed:-\u00a0\u00a0 the main searching web-site for the Back2News Electronic Archive (http:\/\/back2news.org<\/a>);-\u00a0\u00a0 corporate Partner Site (http:\/\/karazin.back2news.org<\/a>) – Central Scientific Library of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

The main search site: http:\/\/back2news.org<\/a> provides:-\u00a0\u00a0 integration of databases of corporate archives project partners;-\u00a0\u00a0 the only interface for access to the distributed Electronic Archive of periodicals.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Partners corporate sites provide:-\u00a0\u00a0 storage of corporate electronic content of digitized publications;-\u00a0\u00a0 interaction with the main search web-site: http:\/\/back2news.org;-\u00a0\u00a0 access to corporate archive data.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Digitized, uploaded to the electronic archive and available for viewing 6331<\/b><\/strong> issues of the newspaper “Yuzhnyi krai” (1880-1917) and “Illustrated Addition to the Newspaper” (1905-1915) from the funds of the Central Scientific Library of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, 34 824<\/b><\/strong> pages, of which 6199<\/b><\/strong> issues, 33 938<\/b><\/strong> pages were recognized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Back2News Online periodicals Archive – a platform for integrating online periodical resources;<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 open online access to periodicals published in the territory of Ukraine from a single interface;<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 search of information on index signs and texts of historical documents of all libraries \/ archives \/ museums \/ scientific institutions that have joined the project.<\/p>\n
